Visual Facilitation Lab. 2025. France
In summer 2025, we facilitated a visual facilitation workshop with participants of the DEJEPS training, in collaboration with CEMEA Occitanie. In this two days training, our Ilaria guided participants to explore visual language as a tool for mediation in social work and youth facilitation.
One key message guided the workshop: you don’t need to be an artist to draw.
Through hands-on practice, participants discovered how to:
√ write in a clear and readable way using strong contrasts
√ use simple icons and visual elements
√ design your communication as a welcoming and accessible space
Together, we experimented with different formats adapted to various needs: internal communication, group facilitation, learning processes, and community engagement.
Beyond tools and techniques, the workshop focused on overcoming the fear of drawing and reconnecting with the essential purpose of visual communication: not aesthetics, but clarity, connection, and participation.
A warm thank you to the team at CEMEA Occitanie - Toulouse for their trust and for sharing a vision of non-formal education that empowers young people and professionals to take action.
